Liu Changhai

Dr.Changhai Liu is an associate professor in Department of Education, Huazhong University of Science & Technology. He graduated from Huazhong Normal University and received his doctor’s degree in 2006. After graduation, he has been working in Huazhong University of Science & Technology since July, 2006.In 2009-2010, he worked as a visiting scholar at Teacher’s College, Columbia University, USA.

He give lectures on Moral Education Principles,Introduction of Masterpieces in Pedagogy to graduates and Parenting Theory and Practiceto undergraduates.

His Professional Interests focuses on Moral education, school culture,and parenting. His dissertation, named A Study on Deweys Thoughts on Moral Education and the Reformation of Moral Education in China, tries to analyze Dewey’s thoughts on moral education and give some useful suggestions on moral education reform in China.In the past several years, he has done some research on the following areas: Deway’s thoughts on moral education; Character education; school culture; parenting theory; partnership between university and school.He has written articles on many other main problems in moral education as well.

His major research projects include A Study on the Construction of School Culture Based on the Reflection of  Core Values, a study on student management focusing on autonomy, and so on.
